Today is my 100th anniversary of meditating every day.  It’s hard to believe that I have hit 100 days because if you would have told me that I would be here in January I would have thought you were crazy!  I have tried to meditate in the past because others had told me that it would be good for me.

First thing is never tell me to do something because it is good for me.  I could never really get into it and maybe because I didn’t really know what I was supposed to be doing.  So, when the Corona Virus hit town and we were into our first lockdown and I was trying to sort out my life, without travelling and racing in Europe, I decided that the best thing was to have a schedule.  Then I decided that I would give this meditation stuff another go.

I found a 21 day meditation course and was bound and determined to stick it out.  Once that was done, I looked at a number of the different apps available and found that ‘Calm’ was going to be the best for me.  They had a 7 day free trial, so I downloaded it to give it a go. 

I actually started to find it enjoyable, so purchased a membership with Calm and have been doing the daily meditation along with an extra 10-15 minute one each morning, first thing before my day begins.  I find it has given me a grounding to start my day and has made me really think as each meditation talks about something else each day.  The ‘Calm’ app also has a Master Class that you can listen to with subjects such as Peak Performance, Breaking Bad Habits, Creating Living Beyond Fear and many more.

That grounding I get each morning gives me the confidence to go into my day able to handle anything.  It has now become part of my life and part of my daily schedule.  Even when our lives get back to whatever the new normal will be I will continue to meditate every single morning.

If you want to tap into stillness for even just a few minutes a day in this fast paced and weird world can I suggest that you give meditation a try, like me you may just learn to love it!

    Meditation is how I start everyday and keeps me grounded in the true stillness and beauty of my eternal being…somewhere under all the other chitter chatter 🙂 I’m so happy you found meditation Carol!

    Which 21. Day meditation did you do pls?

      Hi Karla, it was just one that was advertised on Facebook. But ‘Calm” has a 30 day learn to meditate one which I did after the 21 day one and found it to be really good.
